The JURIED ARTISTS ROSTER is an open resource for design professionals, developers, and individuals who wish to commission stand-alone artwork, integrated art components, or a consultant's creative vision for privately funded projects.
Art can transform personal experience of a building or site, create a landmark, become a source of civic pride, and raise the quality of any project from the ordinary to the memorable.
The Bainbridge Island Arts and Humanities Council (BIAHC) oversees a municipal public art program in behalf of the City of Bainbridge Island. The program is managed by an arts administrator working with a 12 member volunteer committee of arts professionals to comprise the Bainbridge Island Pubic Art Committee (PAC).

Through its Juried Artists Roster (JAR), the Bainbridge Island Public Art Program promotes the integration of art into the island's built environment. The JAR provides on-line access to a pre-qualified pool of artists who create work for public and private structures and spaces.
In the public sector, the roster allows the Public Art Committee to expedite the selection process for commissions when an open call is not feasible. For private individuals or business, the roster facilitates the process of identifying qualified artists who are available for commissions.
Click on the Artist Index to see samples of our Juried Artists' work and to access their contact information. For further instruction, click on Using the JAR.
